I always wanted to be a cartoonist from a young age. Before I became a DJ. I took a sideways shuffle into design and crept in through the back door as a graphic designer as a small print company. It went bust, but I don't think it was my fault.
Fine art was never my strongest skill - to me, watching a proper artist recreate faces and portraits and bridges and flowers and apples and windows with reflections that actually look shiny, well, that was the same to me as watching a pianist or guitarist or a drummer that sings at the same time; i.e. Witchcraft!
Faces are still a problem and if I paint a Still Life, people usually ask "is it?" Anyway, with photoshop and budget graphics cards squeaking with the strain I have squeezed out a few bits and pieces.
