Ignite Tonight!

I sat in the dark, painted every star, wished upon it like it was my last, They danced from afar, tasted like my scars, Memories and the sky avast, Effortlessly I'd fall, feeling every spark, touching every butterfly in my heart, From the moon, poetry I'll carve, as a child with imagination, I had it all.

As I dream, I'll ignite tonight, As I sleep, lights will guide, As I weave, I'll not run and hide, As I burst into life, I'll ignite tonight!

I'll cascade into the day, love, not hate, live with elegance and grace, I'll float from candy-floss skies, tell everybody I've been in outta space, I'll speak the stories of how I met the man on the moon, I'll tell my friends how it was a button, and how I spoke to the spoon.

I tasted the stars like skittles, flavours tickled my tastebuds, like a rainbow should, My spacesuit was my Super Ted pyjamas, Apollo 13, found it quite funny and alarming, But on this night, my bed is my rocket, I travelled around space and on Mars, I stood.

As I dream, I'll ignite tonight, As I sleep, lights will guide, As I weave, I'll not run and hide, As I burst into life, I'll ignite tonight!

As I dream... As I sleep... As I weave... As I burst into life! I'll ignite tonight...
