Jordan Red

As featured on Kerrang! Radio, Loudwire, Planet Rock, The Noise & RAMzine, Jordan Red fuse the melodic elements of 21st-century rock and alternative metal with the aggressive high energy pulse of modern punk.

Formed by frontman Dan Leigh and guitarist Dan Baker, Jordan Red set up base in London, UK and developed a powerful, anthemic sound with an emphasis on big riffs and even bigger choruses.??

Jordan Red entered Long Wave Studios in Cardiff with producer Romesh Dodangoda (Bring Me The Horizon/Bullet For My Valentine/Don Broco) to record their debut album 'Hands That Built The World,' joined by bassist Conor O’Keefe and drummer Dave Fee of As Lions (Eleven Seven Music).

The high energy debut 'Beautiful Monsters' launched Jordan Red with an explosive video produced by Sitcom Soldiers (All Time Low/Sleeping With Sirens/Of Mice And Men). Their fourth single, 'Way Down' premiered on Kerrang! Radio and was added to Amazon Music UK's "Best New Bands" list in 2020.

With the release of 'Hands That Built The World' due 11 November 2022, prepare to hear Jordan Red raise their voice where others fall silent.

Press Quotes:

Kerrang! Radio Unleashed' with Johnny Doom! ('Way Down' Single)

"Jordan Red, it's the brainchild of Dan Baker and Daniel Leigh. It's big riffs, it's big choruses. It will please fans of bands like Alter Bridge... Turn this up loud!"

Planet Rock on ‘The New Rock Show’ ("Don't Let The Heavens Fall" Single)

“Really like this, it sounds massive! Great riff, great chorus, they’re a new band called Jordan Red” - Wyatt Wendels

Planet Rock on ‘The New Rock Show’ ("Freak Show" Single)

"It’s the return of Jordan Red! This is a loud riffy new single, this is Freak Show." - Wyatt Wendels

Loudwire ('Hands That Built The World' Single)

"Meant to move the listener on multiple levels, 'The Hands That Built The World' explores the symbiotic nature of tragedy and triumph with contemplative passages reassured by some daring high sung notes over a dominant have-to-sing-along chorus." - Joe DiVita, Loudwire.

BBC Radio - Ollie Winiberg ('Hands That Built The World' Single)

"The song is a magnificent feat for Jordan. The musicianship behind this daring, catchy, magnetic and unbeatable performance is off the chart. Every part of this single is perfect for me. At 3mins 15, it’s perfect for radio, its quality is uncompromised and it’s a sound that sits comfortably in-between You Me At six and the Foo Fighters." - Ollie Winiberg, Radio Presenter, BBC Radio.

About the song:

"One night when I was bored during lockdown I ordered my dream guitar online. A few days later a red ESP Eclipse arrived and this is the first riff I played when I picked it up straight out of the box. Perhaps it was the anger and frustration of being shut inside for so long but we channelled all that energy into this loud, rage driven riff fest with another massive shout-along-or-sing-along vocal from Daniel.

After sending demos back and forth during lockdown we finally got to record 'Awake' at Long Wave Studios with Producer Romesh Dodangoda in the summer of 2021. This was the last song written and recorded for our forthcoming debut album 'Hands That Built The World' due for release on 11th November. With an opening lyric like "I'm awake now.." it was only right that we make this the album opener! - Dan B

Live dates will be announced in 2023.
