Exploding onto the international music scene in early 2015 with the acclaimed singles ‘Live Rock ’n’ Roll, ‘White Trash’ and Seeds of Summer,' JOANovARC’s status as the new ‘Queens of Rock’ rose even higher with their debut album, Ride Of Your Life released in 2016. The album was recorded at the legendary Rockfield Studios and produced by Grammy-winning producer Gil Norton (Foo Fighters).
JOANovARC’s self-titled second album (2019) brings together a number of the band’s live favourites, including the single ‘Jane’ (which won Classic Rock Magazine’s ‘Track of the Week’) and Spotify hit ‘Say Sayonara’ which achieved over 440,000 streams and featured on the Rock Running album.
The band is a global phenomenon with electrifying performances on tour in Europe, Japan, The Middle East, the Caribbean, and the USA supporting ‘Huntress’ at The Viper Rooms in Hollywood, Los Angeles.
JOANovARC was nominated for the ‘Angels of Rock’ Hard Rock Hell Award in 2017 alongside legends Girlschool & Rock Goddess.
The band was initially formed in 2004 with original lineup sisters Sam and Shelley Walker, and Deborah Wildish joining later the same year. After five years as a trio, Laura Ozholl completed the line-up in 2009. In 2019 the line-up changed once more with Ellie Daymond on drums and Keira Kenworthy on bass continuing JOANovARC’s reputation for exceptional musicianship, longevity, songwriting, and unrelenting hard work.
The band wrote and recorded their new album over a 2 year period of lockdown. The music sets the mood of the lockdown journey from dark to light at the end of the tunnel. ‘Invisible Enemy’ is the band's 3rd studio album and was released in August 2022. Produced by Jason Wilson at Stakeout Studio in London.

In their own words:
Joanovarc is all about the music and not the individuals. It’s about a family unit of great friends that share great experiences together travelling around the world and meeting great people.
We have had many band members over the years, experienced the highs and lows together, and have many rock n roll stories to tell. Joanovarc has been one big family for over 15 years.
We have had some pretty wild adventures touring, from jamming on stage with Don Powell from Slade to throwing up in ‘Gil Norton's all-white John Lennon room after too many red wines.
We have memories of escaping a real fire while recording at the famous Rockfield studios with the fire brigade saving us and the most iconic recording studio in the world.
We have dodged missile attacks in the Middle East and experienced touring with metal legends ‘Huntress’ in Sunset Blvd. LA and performing to a fanatical audience in Tokyo.
We have seen it, done it, and definitely got the T-shirt and we hope to write a book on our touring and recording adventures one day.
