ANDY BENNETT - OCEAN COLOUR SCENE TO SOLO

The latest single Grace by Andy Bennett is released on 26th November through Swan Records.

Andy is based in the Midlands and his musical talent has given him the opportunity of playing and working with luminaries such as: Liam Gallagher, Roy Wood, Andy Fairweather-Low, Paul Weller and more.

Bennett's career started much earlier as a guitarist for Ocean Colour Scene, recording tracks for their studio albums as well as touring extensively. Andy's relationship with Ocean Colour Scene began when, aged just eight years old, he was taught to play guitar by OCS guitarist Steve Craddock. Andy maintained a good relationship with the band and when original bassist Damon Michella left in 2003, Andy was asked to replace him.

Keen to carve a solo career in the music business, in 2015, Andy took the decision to leave the band. His first single Hole in the Road, followed by Drift Away gave him airplay on regional radio as well as BBC Radio 2 and BBC 6 Music. This was followed up in November 2016 by his first solo album Thinkin' Drinkin' Singin' and his last single Do It All for Love.

Andy's songwriting style was once described as "musical and lyrical poetry" (Flick of the Finger 2016) and that is complemented perfectly with his distinctive and instantly recognisable voice and musical style.

Following the success of his first album, Andy has already recorded and mixed tracks for his much-anticipated second album which is scheduled for release in early 2022.

The new single Grace is out now on Swan Records.
